Here is my thing. My husband doesnt like doing a whole lot of socializing w/ me if he gets invited to a cookout or something he doesnt invite me then he says I am stuck up b/c when i do see some of his friends at partys or etc that I dont go up and start conversating with them so he just leaves me by myself doesnt introduce me to anyone unless I walk up to him. I am not a model but I look good I take care of myself and wont leave the house w/ out looking presentable. From a mans perspective why is it that he doesnt like showing me off another words inviting me to go w/ him to be sociable. He makes me feel like he is ashamed of me at times I hope thats not the case please tell me its a man thing. He also wont take me to a place where there will be other women b/c he thinks I will get mad or get jealous. I am pretty easy to get along w/ but if another woman was hitting on him i would have to stick my claws into her.

aww you guys are so sweet. Why couldnt my husband be like any of you. One thing about me is I married my husband and yeah he has changed some in almost 10 years but I dont hide him I want to be w/ him. I want to get dressed up every now and then and go out. He works all the time and I stay w/ the kids and we both deserve a break. As a woman we want to feel beautiful and for our men to enjoy how we look all the time even if our hair is messed up and make up gone. Know one ever sees me like that though appearance is one thing I care about whether I am home or out.

Oh My Gosh!!! I lived like this for 16 yrs... I always thought I did something wrong. I wondered what the deal really was... So, I will be anxious to hear what the men have to say!

If I had to answer now as a divorcee, I'd have to say Jealousy!

It's not about showing off, but I do admit I enjoy the escort of my woman.

As for you, If you trust him, why would you get the claws out? Work on those feelings of insecurity you have. Don't let them take over your relationship.

Merry Christmas

It sounds like he is a chauvinist pig to me. He wants you to be outgoing and meet his friends on your own. He does not want to be responsible for introducing you to his friends.

He is afraid that you will get jealous of other girls because he flirts with them. If he did not flirt with them then they would not make you jealous at all.

I think you have more issues to deal with with him than just being invited to parties.

Take care,
Troy

It actually sounds like he's just not that into you. Very few men really have or want trophy wives. It's not about showing off someone. You show off things not people. I'd move on. Find someone who takes an interest in you.

I wouldn't be with a man that was ashamed of me. My husband would never do that to me. I am apart of his life and I am included in everything!!!

I completely believe in being seen with my girl. She is beautiful, and smart. I am proud to be with her. I don't have any desire to hide her or control her. If she wants to be with me then she should. I will be with her, and I will be proud she's mine.
