There you again I am a hard shell Liberal and I never, never heard any liberal call America hell. Where do get this information all Americans love America , where did this hell come from , I don't understand where your Republicans just pull something out of sky and then state this is what Liberals think, get real. Just because you know your party is losing , don't make up things like this to say. Other countries are also on Yahoo Answers , why would you want other countries repeating you that when Liberals go to the White House 01/20/2009, what do you think other than what you just made up.

1. the U.S. may be the richest and most powerful country in the world today but that does not necessarily make it the "greatest". (However,so much wealth and power if not used judiciously could certainly cause "evil". )

2. If you travelled more or lived abroad or read more international news, you would be aware that people all over the world from poorer undeveloped countries or war torn areas are in constant flux and trying to get into all the more stable and developed countries.

Immigration from Eastern Europe,Asia, and most especially Africa is the number one concern, for instance,of most western European countries.

The millions coming in legally and illegally is an especially difficult situation for them because these European countries have never been traditional recipients of immigrants to the extent that the U.S. has been. The U.S. is almost entirely made up of immigrants. New immigrants to the U.S. do not come up against centuries old traditions, some thousands of years old, but can eventually mingle with the descendants of former immigrants. Most European countries have not been traditional meccas for the huge tide of immigrants seeking entry!

Millions of people everyday choose to migrate to France,Italy,Spain,GB,the Netherlands,Germany, etc etc etc. not only to the U.S. Yet none of these countries would use your argument. They know that people are trying to get in to their countries not because "we are the greatest, yeah!" but because these immigrants are desperate to make a better living.

3. If you lost your job in Alabama and you knew that there were jobs for the asking in Minnesota, wouldn't you head north too? That wouldn't make Minnesota better than your native Alabama. It would only mean that that's where you have to go to get a job and feed your family!

No one says America is evil except liars who accuse others of saying that. The leaders we currently have are liars, corrupt, incompetent, arrogant and greedy but that is not a reflection of how most Americans are or how the country is generally. People in other countries aren't stupid they know this. Sadly it is idiots like the conservative hate mongers on the radio and faux net that claim that. Please name one prominent, no any liberal, that calls America HELL. Be specific to the person and the quote. Now won't you look foolish. Troll.

John Adams, as president, wanted to shut down opposition. It was the worst political decision he made. It overshadowed all of the good he did as president and he was not elected for a second term. The administration is upset because this memo got out. I am upset that this memo was ever distributed to law enforcement agencies. It is not the first time this kind of nonsense has happened. And it is not limited to the Democrats. But it is a threat to our freedoms and I hope it backfires on this president. I have a lot more respect for John Adams.

that may have used to be the case, but actually Australia is now seen by people in first world countries as the new land of opportunity.

Of course if you live in poverty stricken countries and are earning $1 a day for your labor, the United States would look like a golden opportunity even now.

But from the point of view of americans, we are going down fast.....

Also, in a country that values democratic principles as we do in the USA it is perfectly acceptable and indeed encouraged for patriotic citizens to be highly critical of their govt.

Just because something is ok in china or russia or iran or anywhere else does not mean we have to put up with it here. We as americans must stay vigilant and always look to improve our country.

People choose America BECAUSE of the constant vigilance and corrective actions the public enforces upon the government when it goes astray.
And criticizing the government is not the same as calling America hell.

I am a born and raised American. America is the greatest country in the world and lots of people in other countries would love to be Americans. The liberals in this country try their best to make us think all other countries hate us but we know it is not true. All we have to do is look at the number of illegals we have here to see the truth.
