Do you think that the parent who makes less money should concede custody to the parent who makes more money because they can provide more things for the children and a higher standard of living? What if you love your kids to death but want them to have the highest standard of living possible, one parent is wealthy (high income) and the other just regular (median/low income), what would you do?

That's why there's child support. Whichever parent doesn't have custody has to pay money toward the child's living expenses, based on their income. That means the parent that makes more pays more.

There's more to deciding custody than how much a parent makes, such as which parent has the time and energy to best emotionally take care of the kids.

And you know what? Coming from a median income family with a parent that loves you and does their best for you is so much better than being from a family where the parent is rich but never home or doesn't want to interact with the kid.

The Child is a Product of Both Parents. Money is not an issue
of the Highest Kind, when it comes to a Child's Life...in my opinion.
The Child should ''be exposed to both styles of living", of Each
of the Parents...
In my Opinion, the Child has His / Her Own Individuality to
Develop and Should Be Given Every Opportuniity to Develop
''just the Way the Creator Meant for it to Happen"...at the
Pace / Developmental Level of the Child.
I is the Responsibility of Both the Parents. to Provide for the
Child, but sometimes, one parent can / has the ability, to ''give
more of Everything (well, almost), to the child...but that doesn't
or shouldn't mean that the other one...doesn't have meaningful
qualities to ''provide the child with, tho"...
Unless some of the qualities of either parent is detrimental
''BOTH PARENTS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO THE CHILD...
AS IT TOOK...BOTH PARENTS...TO BRING THE CHILD..INTO
THIS WORLD". Those 18 years OF RESPONSIBILITY, belong
to BOTH PARENTS, longer, if the child has Developmental
Problems. TF

I don't think it matters about the money. I'm not saying that money dosn't matter just in your question. It should be the parent that is the most stable in their life, because the other parent will have to pay child support and they will have the support from both parents. I would not concede custody i would fight for them.

The higher income parent could pay more child support. You can't choose a custodial parent by income.

I came from a broken home and we lived with my mother who was making an ok income. We didn't want to go with my dad regardless of his income status. As we grow up we realized that he really didn't want us anyways because we would have hindered him form having the material things he has now.

The children should go to the parent who can provide the best emotional care.

Things do not matter to children. It is all about love.

Merry Christmas

Money isn't everything. My love for my kids outweighs any amount of money.
