Is their any book you could recommend for a 16 y old ?
I like the dramatic kind (sort of: a girl abused by her father, or a someone that has a sad life and ends up dealing with drugs or a lonely bullied person)

How strong a reader are you? I'd recommend Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov if you like tragic stories about children in bad situations. It's a heavy, dark story and it's written so, so beautifully, but it's going to be a struggle if you're not a strong reader.
Go Ask Alice is a classic book about a troubled teen . It claims to be an actual diary but in reality it's fiction. Still a good read!
Ender's Game is a great book about a young boy who is used by his superiors as a tool to accomplish their own goals. It's soft sci-fi and very, very good. Many people love this book who don't normally read sci-fi.

The Burn Journals and Cut are two very good books. The Burn Journal is about a boy who burns himself--true story--as a suicide attempt. He then goes through recovery and all of that fun stuff. Cut is about a girl in a mental hospitcal because well, she cuts, and she doesn't really talk to anyone.
