Why are the walls for my houses in the sims 2 red?

i have the sims 2 and pets, open for business, and university. i can't paint the walls-they stay flashing red. nothing else is affected. wat happened? can my computer not handle 4 games?

Correct; your video card is likely maxed out to capacity. (Update your drivers just to be sure.) You'll probably need to buy a new one in order for it to work.

I've never had this problem but read somewhere that if you click on the wallpaper tool and hold down ctrl and then delete the wallpaper and reapply it that might fix it. Update your driver for sure.
