Whats your favourite cut of diamond? Do you prefer solitaire or multi-stone better?

Solitaire for diamonds 1/2 carat or bigger- Princess cut (purchased for wifes engagement ring) or pillow/cushion cut are personal favorites.

Personally, I like very much emerald cut diamonds, large size (5 cts up). This cut demands a very high clarity as the table facet is very big and an excellent symmetry is very important in the cut. It is easy to spot any imperfections in this cut.
When the diamond is colored, in emerald cut it commends a very high price due to this need for high clarity, although they can be cut more efficiently out of rough (less loss than round brilliants).
The colors like pink or yellow make them look less strict in my opinion, and you see them set with tapered baguettes regularly in 3-stone rings.
The emerald cut makes you enjoy more their color essentially, while the eye is more distracted by effect in round brilliants caused by fire.
Usually these are nicer with long, narrow fingers when used as solitaire.
So, for the moment the emrald cut vivivd orange-yellow is my favorite.

I got a heart shaped diamond for my wife's engagement ring, with smaller diamonds on the band. Very nice, very unique

princess cut! I love the 3-stone ones! They shine a ton and I love that they are called princess cut....makes it more girly!
