I have heard so many interesting variations on how to have a boy or a girl, but none of them are really true.
Here is the latest one for your info> it is really funny.
"If the sex is good, you will have a girl."
Don't believe that one either.
It basically depends on which sperm attaches to your egg. If you want to know what sex you child is, you can have an ultrasound done to determine if it is a boy or girl but this can only be done after you have already conceived and the fetus is around six to eight weeks.
A grandmother of my friend told me she could determine the sex of my child by which way I stood up from a sitting position.
Another myth is how high or low you carry your body.
Another myth is how you look from the back.
It is amazing how many interesting theories there are. However given time and testing, there will some day be a way to conceive a boy or a girl. They are doing experiments now by artificial insemination using the X and Y chromosome. Don't know how sucessful that is. You can almost bet there will soon be a guaranteed way.
Best wishes.

There is no method or program that allows you to know 100% if you are having a boy or a girl. The only way you can do this is to go to a fertility doctor and have him implant a X and a Y chromosome into your placenta. I have never done this, because it does not matter which sex I conceive, but I hear that it costs quite a chunk of money to have this procedure. You might try researching it on the website below or you could call your gynecologist for any references they may have.

Christina, it has to do with the sperm. It has the X and the Y, the first will give you a girl when it reaches the egg, the second will give you a boy. The X can live longer in your body but swims slow, while the Y lives short time but swims real fast. If you would like a boy, you have more chances to succeed it if you have sex the day of your ovulation and not before. Check http://www.yourdays.com/ovulation-calendar.htm , i think it is helpful. Good luck!

I haven't tried it all ready, but there's really no way to know what gender you're going to conceive. It has nothing to do with you at all. Sex is determined by whether the sperm that was the lucky one had the X chromosome or the Y. It's all chance, really.
There are places like fertilization clinics where they can take a sperm sample and pick a sperm with the Y chromosome and artificially inseminate you. But it's really expensive and not 100% reliable.

Determining when you ovulate is vital when you are learning how to conceive a boy. you have sex as early as 24 hours before ovulation to no more than 12 hours past ovulation in order to increase your chances of conceiving a boy. Having sex too far in advance to ovulation will dramatically decrease your chances of conceiving a boy. The timing of intercourse in relation to ovulation is a vital factor in increasing your chances of having a boy.
hope that helps you out some miss
there are a whole bunch of other methods also.
good luck.
hope this works for you.

it cannot be done naturally -- it is always going to be a 50/50 chance. If you are absolutely set on having a boy, and nothing else -- you can do to a fertility/coneption center and have then extract only the Y chromosome sperm and then artificially inseminate you with only those, guaranteeing a boy
that takes all the fun and romance out of it, but ya know....if thats what floats your boat that is always an option

girl, no way. The way you get a boy doesn't even depend on you. Your husband's sperm determine whether or not it's a boy or a girl - and you can't predict that! Females are XX; males are XY. All your eggs are X, but your husband has X and Y sperm. It's a 50/50 chance

It's not your body that determines the sex of the child it's the man's sperm that delivers the chromosome that determines sex of the child. Most likely the only way to do this would be to use artificial insemination with his sperm tested for chromosomes before you inseminate. And I'm not even sure about that.
Good luck to you.

My husband bought a book on how to have the boy or girl of your choice. He wanted a boy! We followed all the steps on how to have a boy and we had a beautiful girl. This time we didn't follow any guidelines and it's a boy (due in April).

I don't think there is any way you can guarantee a boy or a girl. Personally, I'd be more than happy to concieve either!
