origin of daylight savings time is with Ben Franklin, to better use the time available in the northern continent during the summertime. The only reason I know this is because of the national treasure movie :)

we don't even have it in Arizona (voted against it)!
too much sunshine in the summer, we don't need the extra hours at night...
but that's what it's for, so that people don't have to wake up and go to work when the sun is already shining, and then when they get home from work the sun goes down.
with DST it's just like starting work earlier and getting off work earlier, so you can enjoy more sunshine in the evening.
in winter it doon't matter.
it's dark when you go to work... and dark when you get home.
i wonder why companies don't just change their hours of being open for business instead.
