No I am not asking if you can be bored by yourself, but can you be boring by yourself?
In answer to a question about being boring, many people have talked about doing things by themselves as if that is boring, but they are talking about things like reading a book, and having time by themselves doing what they want to do, that is not my idea of boring.

As you say, you can be bored by yourself, but if there is no-one else to be bored BY YOU, then you can't be boring.

(But its like the tree falling in a forest, you can probably convincingly argue either way.)

Boredom is caused by a lack of mental or physical stimulation. An activity, say watching a documentary on the production of cotton from flax, ban when in the right frame of mind be a fantastical journey of knowledge and insight. at other times, when blood sugar is low, apathy has set in, and brain waves refuse to wave, your favourite team playing soccer can produce inertia and a death like trance from which the much mustering of energies cannot extricat us from. Boredom is a state of mind. The activity plays a partial role in the minds inability to be inspired.

I would think no, when you are alone, you are doing what you want to do, or feel like doing, so you can't be boring to yourself can you. It is other people who find your interests boring.

Depends on what a person considers boring. Some might think reading a book is, but I would consider it a great afternoon.

I've heard it said that the difference between Eastern Man and Western Man is his ability to be alone in this world and to be "OK" with himself...The understanding that as a human being you are complete, you don't need anything else in the world to make you whole. Western man relies too much on material possessions to full fill his wants and desires.
