I got one also for asking how the weather was in your area....
I was told it was "chatting"....I am now facing the corner with a dunce cap on..."my bad":.....who knew such an innocuous question could raise the ire of someone?

Y! believes that the question should be one which provides information that is of utilitarian use to a wide audience....knowledge based, so to speak...rather than a question that seeks to engage members in chat. For instance, a Y! approved question would be one you could/would just as easily go to an encylopaedia, dictionary, historical or other data base/internet to find the answer.
Not that anyone really pays attention, it seems...LOL
Normally when a question is deleted before it has ever reached 'publication' and is on the 'board', Yahoo has done it.
If it gets deleted later, it has been reported...usually by someone who is 'picky' or who is a 'tro#l'. Yahoo seems to have no choice but to delete it if has been reported as 'not a question'

Just make sure you use a question mark after your question.
Some troll reported me for not asking a question. I challenged it and my points were restored.
Community guidelines say you cannot ask a question if you are answering a question.
On the other hand, anything you ask as a question is legitimate. Just fight it. You will win. There are one or two people here that just love to report someone. We have all experienced it ourselves.
I was reported for asking a Neil Diamond song question, and it did have a question mark after it. I told the Yahoo advisors to review the person who reported me and see how many questions he/she had reported. Please do this and you will get your points restored.
You are right. If you have the ? on there, it is a question. Best wishes.
So, all of the above is my answer to your legitimate question.

You are now in an elite society of elders! One of the requirements is that you be violated repeatedly by whomever is doing this ugly thing to us! In fact you will more than likely get another violation for this posting!
so IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION:
wear your little red hand with honor!
a star to make u feel better!

Can you imagine, what would happen if you ask if you could go to the bathroom.
Would that be a question,or a statement, at the very least it would be a violation if you did not make it. and we would be talking about it for weeks, and that would be chatting

It depends, was the skin broken? If that is the case you should put a "questionable" bandage with antibiotic on it.
If not, just use the other hand for awhile to type your chats.......
er.....I mean questions. Merry Christmas? Have a nice day??

Congratulate yourself! You have just survived one of the Rites of Passage on Yahoo Answers! It happens to us all! Run your hand under cold water for a few seconds and it will feel better soon.

Did they charge you for four questions with this one? I do like your questions, though. What you say is so true. Put some ice on your hand.

Ouch witch hazel, try a little cool water on that.
I too thought a question was question if it asked a question.
Which one got you in such big trouble?
Take care, and learn to move your hand quicker!
