Is it true that some people out there in American nation don't have maps, that's why they can't locate

the USA on the map?

I got this idea from Lauren Upton, the South Carolina contestant in the Miss Teen America contest.
She'd know, wouldn't she? She is one of the American nation:

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have maps and I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and Iraq and everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for us."

But it IS true that, if looking at a world map, there is a number of people in the United States who cannot correctly identify or locate the United States. Who knows why.

That was too funny. I feel sorry for that poor girl and her family. She had a tough time answering a question in a beauty contest, which pretty much should tell you that they judge people for their looks in those contests not for their education. Anyway, that poor girl had a hard time answering a simple question, the fact that people in The United States don't have maps means next to nothing, due to the fact that a lot of the people in the United States as well as most of the developed world, now have access to Global Positioning Satellites.

It's not true what you wrote about some people out there in American Nation don't have maps .There are plenty of places where you get the maps from and that's what everyone does right from school days.

We from USA know where we are located on a map. There are lots of maps on the internet. And there are maps in grocery stores and at the American Auto Club which lots of people belong to, plus there are companies whose specialty is making maps.

huh! american nation? can't locate what lol? now some of the uzbeckistans and such might be a little tough, but i know where topeka, tulsa, l.a. and nyc are. oh yes and boston go pats. what else do i need?

Where did you get that whacked out idea??? And....if you don't have a map to locate it on, how can you locate the USA on a map? Give me a map...I'll show you where it is!!!!!!!!!!!
