I think that sends an awesome message to every teenage girl, because now its ok to be pregnant at 16. Nickelodeon is going to have a huge mess to clean up after this completely circulates. I guess you can take the girl out of the trailerpark, but not the trailer park out of the girl.

My whole point is this: I personally dont care. But the tabloids are going to follow this forever and its just going to turn into a "Its ok, because she is taking responsibility campaign" Everyone in this country worships celebrities, now its gonna be a fad. Its already a problem, the media shouldn't make it glamorous.

Who told you that? I am not supportive of her at all- I think the whole situation is tragic. We have a saying in the horse business, which is the field I worked in for a lot of years, that goes something like this: "Blood will tell...." and that really rings true in the Spears family, I am sorry to say. To put this another way, the asker is right. Jamie Lynn really screwed up her life, and I will be surprised if Nickelodeon DOESN'T eventually fire her for moral turpitude, if nothing else. This is a girl who was SUPPOSED to be a role model- now she's proven that she and her sister are cut from the same cloth, and neither of them should be in the spotlight at all, if you ask me. Britney is not very talented- I can't stand her music, and I don't know anyone who really likes her very much.

I shudder to think of what kind of life these kids are going to have, especially Britney's boys. They deserved a better shot in life, but with Brit as their mom, they will never get it. It's pathetic and disgusting. Enough said.

it's certainly not the smartest decision she has made (having sex) but at least she is taking responsibility for her actions. i'm glad she's not going to abort the child and at least she has the money to care for her child. i agree that teens may get the wrong message about being a pregnant teen...

I am not so sure why. I hope they kick her off that show she is on. Because my daughter won't be watching it as long as she is on it. A role modle that huge should not be pregnant at that age. She is not something for little girls to look up too!!

ok first it has nothing to do with living in a trailer park...plenty of other very young girls who have never lived in a trailer park have become pregnant. second, no, it doesnt send a good message to other young girls out there who watch nickelodeon but that girl still needs support. every young mother does if you want her to be able to raise that child successfully. at least she is standing up and taking responsibility and not running out and getting an abortion because she is afraid to ruin her career or something!

I don't think everybody is supportive of it at all....just read through YA and see the negative comments about it. I think the positive aspect is she is accepting responsibility for her actions which is the right thing to do.

She couldn't be responsible enough to use birth control and yet she thinks she can be responsible to raise a child for the next 18 yrs? Look at her sister who gotten pregnant way older than she was and she couldnt handle her kids until she lost custody of them.

I'm tired of hearing this. It's reality! This teenage pregnancy stuff is increasing. What can we do about it?!

I'm not supportive of her, that depends on her. It's her with the child, not me.

UGHHHH, once again, tired of hearing about her.

I am not condoning teenage pregnancy. It was irresponsible on her part, but at least she is taking responsibility for her actions.

so should she have aborted? at least she is being responsible and has an income to support this child. Who are you to judge her? you do not know her and neither does anyone on here. You have no room to judge anyone. You are not a better person than her.
