A rectangular prism is a 3 dimensional solid having its sides made up of rectangles. A shoe box is ann example.

A face is the rectangular bottom or top or one of the four sides. So there are 6 faces.

An edge is the line formed be the edge of a face. If you like, it is part of the the boundary of a face. There are 12 edges

A corner is the single point where 3 edges meet There are eight corners, also called vertices.

A rectangular prism is a solid with all the adjacent faces perpendicular to each other i.e. a right-angled prism with rectangular base. The pink coloured surface (in the fig. whose link is given) is one face. There are 6 such faces in a rectangular prism. The straight lines at which these adjacent faces meet each other are called the edges (blue straight lines in the fig.). There are altogether 12 edges in a rectangular prism. The points at which these adjacent edges meet each other are called vertices. There are 8 vertices in a rectangular prism.

Think of a cereal box or any box of food in your pantry. Get one down from the shelf and show him that that's a rectangular prism. the front and back of the box are the faces (as well as the sides and tops), then show him the top and bottom corners where all the edges meet. A simple visual like that will be etched in his brain while he's in school.

a rectangle cube. like a square becomes a cube, a rectangle becomes a rectangular prism
a face is the flat side of the prism, corner is the place where the edges meet and the edge is like, the line of it. outline of the face

the others have answered your main question but a face is the flat side of a shape. So in a die, there are 6 faces. (where the dots are). Corners are pretty self-explanitary on our die there are 8 corners. Edges are the lines that connect the corners so on our die we have 12 edges. Hope it helps.

Take a box for example.

The face is a side of the box. (6 sides on a box)
The edge is what connects to sides together. (12 edges on a box)
The corner is where three sides come together. (8 corners on a box)
