Is it just me or did he release a statement that said "I want to state clearly and without qualification: I did not take steroids".
Soooo does that mean that he WANTS to state that but at this point he can't. Why can't he?

As Clemens statement "I did not take steroids...never in my life." aired on a T.V./talk radio broadcast I was disturbed at how callers played on the word "take" as to say he meant he never injected himself but the trainer did it. As if he is off the hook if the trainer produces possible paid transaction evidence proving that he did "take" steroids. For confused Americans when one does take something most of the time they knowingly receive it. Stop trying to twist his lying statement! If Bonds is the negative steroid poster child of baseball now I'm sure we can make room in this Hall of Steroid Shame for many other hiding/lying players like Clemens.

Sounds like Mark McGwire Part II. If Clemens gets called to testify at the upcoming Congressional hearing, he can complete the package by admitting guilt by not admitting it & then go hide in his home like a coward.
