Will she like it? and any ideas on what else I can get her for Christmas, she is not a hard child to shop for, but she really hasn't asked for much this year.

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.

I'm 13, and my mom surprised me with one a few months ago. I had mentioned it occasionally, but never asked for it because I never thought I'd get it. I love it though. When you first get it, it's so ddicting, now I play with it not nearly as much. I'm sure that she'll love it! Just make sure you have a game or two, it comes with Sports, but it'd be good to get Carnival Games or maybe Smooth Moves (very fun!)

In my experience, really girly girls don't have much appreciation for video games in the mid teen years. I am different though becasuse I am a total game lover (of course, I am not a girly girl either). However, the Wii is different from most video games so theres a good chance she will love it. Plus, she is still young, so chances are she doesn't feel to old for video games (lots of teen girls think they are to "mature" for things like that). The Wii is one of the most appealing games out there so I bet she will love it.

If she doesn't seem too impressed at first, play with her a little and get her into it. Buy an asortment of games so she has options and can see what the Wii can do! Maybe you could invite some of her friends over for a "HOLAY CRAP I JUST GOT A WII!!!" party? If they are impressed she might be too.

Hope I helped! Merry Christmas!

The Wii is a great product. Not many games out yet though. I am sure in the next few months that many more games will come out for it. I don't know if your daughter will like it, but I know many teenagers would be very happy for a Wii this year for Christmas. If she doesn't like it you can probably put it on EBay and get more than your money back.

My husband is in the game industry and he has a Wii. The best game so far is Mario Brothers.

I think a Wii would be a good gift for a 13 year old.

My boyfriends mother has one.. She also has a PS3. Personally, I'd rather play the PS3. But, a Wii is a good gift.

Unless shes a spoiled little brat she should be extreamly happy to get what two years in a row has been one of the hardest toys to buy or at least in my opinion

If your Certain she wont like it due to not being a fan of video games or that.... return it and buy her something else shes 13 if shes aloud to buy her make up and "coming of age" gifts like more adultish ( not skanky) clothing Jewelry ect

I think she will like it. My daughter is almost 12 and she doesn't even really play video games wants one because she played it at a friends house. They were sold out everywhere I went.

Also my 33 year old sister who never plays video games ever, played it with her husband somewhere and said it is great.

sounds like a good gift! I just came back from Target - I saw several people carrying them around to purchase. My 13 yr old niece would love it - I already got her some other things though.

CNET.com listed it as top ten gift !!

Just hang on to the receipt....it is possible that she hadnt asked for Wii cause she prolly thought you won't be able to get it or can afford it....but just think on Christmas morning, her reaction would be priceless!

my girlfriend would almost kill for a wii, and she is 14. they are cool game systems that most young teens love. I think your daughter will be very very happy to get such a wonderful gift from you.
