I see them all the time. They are all over my town. It's funny, because recently they ran them out of this place where they were congregating (where no one lived, they were just annoyed by them), and now they've settled in the neighborhood nearby!!

You probably have seen vultures soaring in the sky, perhaps mistaking them for hawks. Vulture wings tend to have a dihedral angle when soaring, whereas hawks' wings are held out more or less straight. Occasionally they will perch on the roofs of houses. I try to see beauty in nature, but vultures are downright ugly to my eye.

Vultures have an excellent sense of smell. They fed on a dead rat snake on my property. The snake was probably ensnared in some plastic mesh I spread to hold down straw when I was seeding a slope.

Funny story... I was riding my scooter and I started smelling something HORRIBLE... I stopped to snoop around and saw a hideous, BIG bird... I thought it was a turkey at first glance, then I put the smell and bird together and arrived at... VULTURE.

Some vultures are fairly common. At least one, the California condor, is endangered, though.

If you mean 'vulture', then yes. I've been on safari in various parts of Africa several times and have seen hundreds of them.
