When my friends and I got caught skinny dipping in my parents pool. They were away for the weekend and had asked the cops to watch the house. We had just gotten off work, and were tired and hot, and a quick dip sounded like fun. We were having a great time until a beam of light lite up the pool and a voice said "everyone out, now!"
I explained rather quickly that I was the daughter of the owners, and that we weren't properly dressed. he shut off the flashlight , laughed and said ok.
A few weeks later, I was visiting my parents when the cop showed up to talk to my dad. He acted like nothing happened, and my dad introducted us. I wanted to crawl away and die because he had this little smirk on his face.

Geeosh, I've had so many embarrassing moments
(LOL)
I tend to jump to conclusions sometimes and I know I've embarassed myself more than once by assuming someone meant something other than they did. And I opened my mouth up about it, but for the life of me I can't remember a time but I do remember the feeling. Does that make sense. I don't take myself as seriously as I used to, so things don't embarass me like they used to. I'm just a human with human faults. It's amazing but I didn't figure that out until I was in my mid 30s.

My most embarrassing moment would be when I would realize that I just posted my most embarrassing moment on the net. No offense....

I was having a Birthday Party for my best friend, Lori. When she got there, I moved a chair so she could come see the cake... pulling the wooden chair behind me. Not knowing that she was about to sit on it. I was more humiliated than she was when she plopped right down on the floor, everyone (including her) started laughing, and I had no clue why. When I turned around and she was on the floor, and I had the chair... dragging it behind me, I wanted the floor to open-up and swallow me. I don't do practical jokes or any jokes that could hurt someone and was humiliated. Thank goodness she is good-natured!

In a piano recital I blanked out. Forgot the music. I sat there for a while, tried to play from memory, screwed up a few times, then when it was over I just walked outside.
