My opinion is that she is rather young, and I hope that this difficult situation turns out OK for her.

to me its shocking.
when theyve had biographys of britney, youd see little jamie lynn acting so innocent and agreeing with her parents that britney is loosing it.
atleast britney wasnt 16 when she got preggo with sean preston.
jamie lynn plays a character on a nickelodeon show. many many girls look up to her, but now shes knocked up at 16.
wow, what a role model.
its weird...
* even if she didnt mean to get pregnant or if she used protection, she was stupid to have sex anyways. she should have know what the consequenses would have been.

I was listening to a major radio talk show in northern California last night about this subject and since her boyfriend is 18, he could face rape charges since she is a minor.
I think both she and he are irresponsible, foolish and now have to deal with their immaturity. To be 16 and pregnant has all sorts of consequences; her body is not ready, emotionally she is not ready, she will most likely lose her job, if they marry it won't last (statistics show) and this will forever follow her.
I guess when you have a sister like Brittney, you don't have a good role model do you? This came as no surprise to me.

I watched the show zoey101 with my sis once. And i kinda admired jaime cuz i thought she was like a good role model for kids. My little sis was kinda disapointed when she found out jamie was a ho. ANd i hope she doesn't turn out like Britney. because she does have her whole life ahead and she seems like a good person (until this pregnancy thing).

she will not be a good parent for two reasons. first off, she is too young and is not mature and responsible enough to take care of a kid. second, her sister was a failure as a parent and everything seems to be coming from the parenting of her mother, who apparently didn't raise her two daughters well enough to make proper decisions. for god's sake, Britt. Jr. is only 16. what kind of message is she sending to teenager girls? she has admittedly reported she didn't tell anyone about it and tried to cover it up till she had time to consult with a friend or two. she didn't tell her mom right away about what happened right away on top of everything. its not really shocking about the age since kids are having kids at 13. scary yes, but it is happening. it is just something on her part, since she has celebrity status and teenager girls watch her on TV. that is why I say she is sending a wrong message. she followed the path of her sister.

well her sis has been such a negative role model for her to begin with. Her parents are separated and her mom seems like she's got her head in the clouds. this is very unfortunate. this poor girl has her whole life ahead of her and has a great carrer on the line. how the hell is she gonna play her role as a teen on nickelodeon now with a big belly? what a shame!

If she says she is then i believe her i just think that she really has screwed her life up and career. And i think that she is going to do exactly what Britney has done with her career. I also think that Jamie's mom is insane because she let's Jamie's boyfriend who is 19 live with them who would do that! You know there going to have sex! And it is rape if a 19 year old has sex with a 16 year old and i think that Jamie's boyfriend should go to jail. It's only fair because all the other 19 year old guys and girls who have sex with 16 year olds go to jail why shouldn't he.

I think she was brave to let the media know her situation but it was not a smart move to get pregnant. Why not use condoms or contraceptives, they are available to everyone. Not too smart to follow in her sister's footsteps of making dumb choices. And what about her mom, how is she showing her any discipline in her life. Not a smart family.

My opinion is that she should have practiced safe sex. What is so difficult about this concept for so many people? Now she'll sidetrack her career, put a stop to her mother's upcoming book on 'parenting,' of all things. and be a mom while she's still underage. Not a good scene for anyone.
