I'm thinking of getting pregnant in the near future--sorry I won't the kids but not the husband--and I have an idea of what I want to name my kids, but people just look at me crazy when I share them.

First of all, my name, Special, is uncommon, so I would like for my children to have the same legacy. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with people that have common names, but I'm just not a mainstream or trendy person. I like to be creative in all that I do...so I see no reason why I shouldn't carry this on into to child-rearing. ***I know that some of you will not agree with my line of thinking, but it's okay. We're all entitled to our OWN way of thinking.***

Son:
Princeton James Lawrence (with the nickname of Prince and the James Lawrence after my father)

Daughter:
Precious OR Princess Stephiana Jamie-Belle OR
Sapphire-Moonstone Silver Jasmine

thanks in advance.

LOVE the boy name, and LOVE Sapphire Moonstone for a girl! Unique and I'm sure they'll have the gem of your eye! :-)

May I make another suggestion for you to decide on? How about Americus? I heard that name in a movie once. It was "Where The Heart Is", with Natalie Portman, Stockard Channing, and Ashley Judd. The name was unique and it was Americus Nation (the first and middle name). I thought it was a beautiful name. :-)

All in all, you will be the mama, and whatever name you choose for your babies, will be unique in their own way because they will be yours. :-)

I didn't realize your real name was Special. That is beautiful too!

I wish you well Special. And Merry Christmas to you my cyber friend!

You name your children whatever you want and don't worry about what other people think. My children (all 3 girls) have 3 names. My oldest is named after a soap character and my late mother (Kayla Jo Ann), my middle is named for her late great aunt, her grandmother and a movie character (Amalia Maria Cecilia) and my youngest is named for a Beatles song, a tv character and a Poison song (Sadie Saffron Rose). People can say what they want, but they are YOUR children. Just don't be like my sister in law and give all your kids the same first initial (Ishamael, Isaiah, Illias and Imarius) gets hard on the tounge! Good luck to you!!

There was a time when it was advised not to name children unusual names as it would cause them to be picked on. They said that even teachers were harder on them (subconsciously) but things have changed now. There are many names being chosen that are not usual and are accepted quite well. I personally like some of the names people are coming up with. As long as you are comfortable with your baby's name, everyone else should be as well.

For a daughter I think Jamie-Belle is cute. Also I think Chantal is a beautiful name for a girl, like Jamie Chantal. That'd be wonderful.

You're children are going to have a horrible time getting employment with that sort of name, hate to say it but people do judge you based upon your name.

However, I do like your boys name, it shounds classy.

Your girls name sounds like something a little kid would name her cat, but the Jamie-Belle part I like.
