With enough money, you can buy your way. The number of people who actually make it to space is MUCH smaller than the number who apply, and smaller than the number who qualify and train. Look at the backgrounds of recent astronauts. Look at the goals of planned missions. Live a righteous life so the background check won't disqualify you. For some future mission, if you're the most qualified to do what needs to be done, you will likely be chosen.
If you become a leading authority on some promising aspect of nanotechnology, and you believe you can make an important contribution to the field with experiments on the space station, then you can lobby for that project to be accepted, and for you to be the principal investigator. That's probably your best approach, but as you can tell, chances are still slim.
If you don't care about the science but just want to fly, become a superb and experienced test pilot for experimental aircraft.

If you're in school and dedicated to physics, exercise, and math it should be easier. It is still hard of course. You'll probably have to learn much about astronomy and such. Perhaps you should email a representative from NASA or whatever space station you want to join. Ask them what requirements are. At 23, I would say unless you had already made some kind of plan, it will be rather difficult.

You should consider to get a degree and a master degree in that course, then look for a government agency that has an academy that gives training, and so on... They will be picky over your qualifications so you must prove that your capable of more than anyone else, and so explain why you want it so much... Then if your really good at it, they will consider you to go to the space;-)

If you are a girl no problem!! wait till you hit adolescent stage then you'll be going regularly!!......... or smoke some weed as drunken santav suggests and youll be there surely or even heaven if you like.
