If your pet rock has rabbies then you can get it too if it bites you. I would suggest you go to urgent care and get a tetanus shot if you haven't already received one just to be on the safe side. Take your pet rock to a training school where they will teach it some manners and they will teach you how to have a little more control over it.

Seeing as that pet rock has to be getting on in age now (probably 30+ years old), I'd say the chances are pretty good. At the minimum you should have a tetanus shot. And look into some obedience courses for him/her.

rabies is actually very common with pet rock bites. i'd watch out if i were you, keep him in a cage.
