What factors would you consider in choosing a US State to live in for a fresh start?

The degree of liberalness supported by the political representatives of the state. type of industry which is being encouraged to create opportunity for Eco friendly development, that will provide employment. A social service program that provides assistance to families, but will require the enrollment of one of the adults in the family in a training center. Child care will be provided, but the adult will be required to successfully complete their program. The availability for health care. Schools that provide classes focused teaching the students the basic skills necessary to function in society. Reading, writing, and arithmetic. Basic sciences, sex education, natural history, The names and times in the office of President of the United States. How their influence affected the general population. Economics in a simple form to illustrate how the distribution of wealth is responsible for the political decisions which favors the wealthy.

2. Decent City. Safe for a single woman.
3. Near to stores, schools, & parks.

Cost of living and the opportunity to find different work. I'm highly technical so moving to an area that only had one company that could utilize my skills would not be a good idea.
