Just was thinking...if everything Before Christ (B.C.) in the Roman/western calendar.. is before birth... and everything on the switch-side is A.D. (After Death)... then WHAT HAPPENED to the other 33 years, in between? And moreover, what happened to that first week in-between Dec. 25th and ultimately the 1st day of Jan. 1st -- just kidding, I know the Church set the Xmas date for celebration just 100s of years ago...

The AD is Latin for "Anno Domini" which means "In the Year of Our Lord". In reality, what happened was that Jesus would have dies somewhere around AD 33.

Actually AD is Ano Domino or "Year of our Lord". The switch from BC to AD is based on the calculated date of Jesus' birth (as far as I know). In reality, his actual birth (if it happened) could have varied from 10 BC to 10 AD.
