Iceland - there's nothing really there except volcanic rock and the whole place smells like sulfur. Then in the middle of this freezing shard of frozen magma is the most gorgeous hot spring called the Blue Lagoon. It is stunning and in places gets really quite hot. The water of this place is amazing for it's mineral compound.
Next to Iceland is Amsterdam...that place is f-ing bonkers!

I went to a Borneo long house for new years eve and the combination of primitive life mixed with modern with -mobile phones, karaoke (videoke) and a fashion show? completely mad with old tradition ladies and men with mutilated bodies smoking joint shaped cigars!
I think the Amish farm life in America with no electricity is nearly as weird to us!
