Hello,

I took a geology class and I was wondering if that counts towards science GPA?

Also, I've taken college Algebra over in one college and took it again in another college. Say if I got a B- and an A. Do they average the two grades up?

Oh, I've taken up to calculus II. I did well in those courses but got a B- in college Algebra.

Also, I thought institutions look at ALL of your grades in the colleges you apply. If not, then most of my requirements won't be fullfilled.

As for geology, what will it count towards?

Med schools do NOT care about geology. The courses they will consider in your science GPA will be general biology, general chemistry, o-chem, physics, biochem, zoology, botany, biophysics and any other bio sci or chem course.

As for algebra, you can include that with your math courses when you apply, and you will need to include the grades on the application. They will be averaged and caluclated then. However the grades won't be averaged by the institution granting your degree. The credit will be there, though.

But algebra??? Oh lord, you're gonna have to take a lot more math classes because CALCULUS is required for medical school.
