I know. I've posted to many questions about the navy, but I am nervous. I am not afraid of no one but God! The only issue I have is killing another person, or have myself get killed. I can't do it. I just can't do it. I am intrested in Photography. Do we have to fight as well? Not that I am afraid. I've been through to many things. I love my country with my life and is proud to be An American!!! But, there's this part if me that is afraid. I can't stand the thought of being killed. I'm not afraid to die, it's just my family. If it comes to me killing another, I do not think I can do it. I know I am good enough. I am a strong woman. But you know... Killing and death. So many people are dying up there. To be honest I do not know why they are up there. Others who are in the navy have said they do not no either. I love my country. People say you are stupid from joining that bull. I said without us, who will protect you from harms way? Just please tell me the truth. I love the USA!!!

The only time you will have to kill another, is if you are in the Navy Seals. Your chance to be in the Seals (special forces) are really none. You will not be on the front lines with the Army, or Marines. In the other services (Army, Marines) you would have a bigger chance to shoot or kill another. So, you shouldn't have to worry about killing someone in the Navy. I hope I helped and thank you, and God bless.

The chances of you being in hand to hand combat are slim in the Navy. Weapons on the ships are designed to kill from a long distance, mortar shells and missiles.

The military has a job of killing people and blowing stuff up, but you can do good things like construction or supply or a corpsman, which is the naval equivalent of a medic. With the latter you can save people.

If you do see combat there is a chance that you will have to kill someone or be killed yourself. That is why they call it combat. If you are not able to kill another person for moral reasons then you really should not be in the military.

if you are in the navy then you really won't have to worry about combat. The only navy personel that see combat are navy corpsmen who get attached to marine line companies and navy seals.Everyone one else either stays on ship or if they actually get off ship they will be to far from the combat to be affected by it.

Yes, unfortunatly it is what soldiers do. My father was a medic in WW11 and so was my step-dad, they both fought in hand to hand combat even though they were sworn to save lives. It was to protect themselfs and their fellow soldiers. It pained them both their whole lives. They had no other choice at the time.Good luck to you.
