I just got an iPod nano and I have a couple of questions. First of all my boyfriend already has an iPod so we already have thousands of songs in iTunes. The problem is that I don't want most of that music in my iPod. When I connect my iPod to our computer it automatically starts filling up with music that I don't want. Do I really have to go through and uncheck every single song that I don't want? Also, how do I transfer files from limewire into iTunes? How do I delete music from my iPod? Any hints or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure when you connect to itunes you untick the box for autofill and automatically sync which will be in edit, preferences.

When your adding any music from anywhere will click in itunes, file, then add folder or file to library. Then click into itunes and your music library.

To delete music from your ipod once its connected and you can see it on your itunes, simple click on your ipod, and delete away.

you can turn off auto sync

go to iTunes and go to Edit -> Preferences
then the "sync" tab
and check the box that says "disable auto sync"

then you can make a playlist for just songs that you want
then all of the songs you want are all together without being mixed in with other things

you can click "create a playlist" in the lower left corner, name it ..something, then just right click a song you want and click "add to playlist"
it can take some time but i think it would be more organized then checking the boxes

then you can just select them all when your done, right click them and say "sync to iPod", or drag them to your connected iPod

Yup, you have to check through EACH AND EVERY song that you do, or do not, want in you iTunes Library. (It sucks, right?)
To delete songs, you just delete them from you LIBRARY and then update your computer. To put songs from limewire onto your iPod, from the iTunes library, go FILE, IMPORT SONGS and then search to where you saved the songs. Good luck.
