Just crank the engine over a few times before installing the new plug. The cylinder air compression will blow everything out of the cylinder through the empty spark plug hole. Then install the new plug and your good to go.

I wouldn't use a blow dryer. I would just take a broom or a brush and clean it off the best you can. you should be able to find where the spark plug goes fairly easy if it isn't completely buried in snow. Make sure you gap that new plug before installing it into your snowblower. Good luck.

I agree, just pull the handle on the snow thrower as you were trying to start it, without the spark plug in the motor. When the piston in the engine pushes up it should clear itself out. Then install the spark plug and start the engine. It may run rough at 1st, but it should get smoother once the water burns off.

Good luck..........

If everything else fails, take the carb apart and free the float and needle valve. If there was gas left in the unit over the summer and the gas evaporated, the needle valve may be varnished in place and not allowing the gas into the throat of the carb. To prevent this in the future, shut off the gas line first then run the unit dry, this will open the needle valve and let the float work correctly.
