Has anyone else found that using the CosmosUI and/or the Auctioneer Addon seems to increase the chance that the pet bar (could be minion or elemental too) is missing if you summon while in active combat? I've read some of the post on those add-on sites but nothing seems to completely fix this. Any suggestions? The mods are too useful to play the game without them so please don't suggest not using them.

I'm up for trying a new batch of mods if they offer similar functionality to those in CosmosUI and Auctioneer. Primarily I'm wanting to keep functionality of AtlasLoot, AlphaMap, Enchantrix, Auctioneer, Mob, Outfit (not sure of the name). If other mods provide similar functions, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

I can't always keep the pet out for all classes affected. My character is a mage so the pet here is actually my water elemental. My wife plays a warlock and her minion is the problem. My daughter has the hunter and has the pet problem.

I find that casting my elemental after in combat generally results in a missing pet bar so essentially it watches me while in arenas (generally dying).

I am really thinking to switch UI mods and I'll check the ones you listed out.

Oh, for the constant pet classes (warlock/hunter), the issue really involves getting dismounted from combat (i.e. running through a mob). You can't really keep it out while doing that.

I'll have to look at the hot key assignments. I tried using the 1 to at least get the elemental to attack (based on a post I read) but I didn't actually confirm that the key was assigned like that. I'll check that when I get home from work then.

I haven't used cosmos in many years (since I found out it s*%^s for bugs). But, This is both an addon bug as well as a glitch from Blizzard. But, some options to get around this (other then using a better UI) is to keep your pet out at all times. try to avoid going into combat while pet is away IE mounted.

If you want some more advice try some of the addon forums. there are some really great ones out there I myself use trinity bars and xpearl unit frames the customization is great the learning curve is a bit high but once you get it its easy.

Addition: My main is a hunter so I can feel the pain. a small fix without changing ui's 1 try to reload your ui. in the chat window type /console reloadui If that doesn't work the other is to hot key your pet attacks. I had to do that for a while till my mod developer updated his mods and fixed it. Hot keying is a bit easier to handle in hostel fights because you aren't waiting for the reload. but it does take a bit of play style change. if you aren't used to hitting keys rather then clicking on the spell.

point 30 mount for pallys are experienced as a spell. once you turn 30 there'll be a spell once you practice pronounced as "Summon Warhorse," this would enable you to summon the pally horse and is your training "unfastened" mount. in case you like a dwarf ram, study the spell first because it quite is going to right away supply you the driving ability needed for any of the point 30 mounts, then pass to Dun Morough and purchase a ram for 9g. the different alliance race mount will require you to have exalted faction with the race (Sabers-nighttime Elf, Elekk-Dranaei, Horse-Human, Mechastrider-Gnome). Pally actually have a swifter mount at point 60, it somewhat is a spell pronounced as "Summon Charger." This mount is swifter (a hundred% velocity vs. 60%) yet demands a questline to do it.
