why do women have to work twice as hard to get somewhere? are they stupid or something ?

they have to prove themselves still in this society. we are the weaker link unfortunatly.
even in weight loss, the job market and even in life in general. unfortunalty but thats how it goes.

Are they stupid of something? ---> Now that wasn't such a smart thing to say. But to answer your question, it's precisely because of people with attitudes like that that make it harder for women to advance in certain fields. The assumption that they are less capable, when they can be equally as capable or even more capable than some or most males in the task or profession in question.
It's simply something that society has developed over thousands of years. Men, with all their testosterone, were so eager to dominate and display their strength, that as social structures were developed, they forced women to be submissive. They used propaganda like humorous depictions of women and verbal comments to ensure that women aren't taken seriously and would never be able to compete in the same jobs men do.
Nowadays, people are smarter. They know now that women can do the same jobs as men, albeit in a different way. For instance, where a male manager can get his workers to comply using force and what's rational, a female manager can do the same by using her empathy and emotive intuition to tailor her methods to the group of people or the individual.
Just the same, because of the biases that still exist in some spheres and the hesitance of men to let MORE competition into their professional arena, it takes more effort in the part of women to prove themselves.

Not True. Women does not work twice hard as men. It all depends on the type of work and ethics and has nothing to do with gender.

Well, unfortunately we live in a male-dominated society, thus males usually come out on top. Women are not stupid, but we are the victims of unequal treatment in all areas. Hopefully, as time goes on, we will gain more equal treatment in society.

No because its a mans world, The men make it more difficult because once they see a pretty face they dont think were capable of doing anything except lying on our backs and having babys cleaning ect.. Men like you just makes us stronger.

we just know that if you want something done right we have to do it ourselves. And if we don't work to pay the bills then who will. There are a lot of women out there that are "carried" by their sig other.... but hopefully the majority of us take care of ourselves.
