I am sorry, but this plan will not work.
You need a decent job and proof of income. "looking" does not assure the landlord that they will receive their rent. I have my doubts that you even have a credit history.
Find the job first, then the apartment. If you can't manage that you might try the "roommate" route, where you simply rent a room in someone elses house.

Sounds like your landlord is way out of line, Look toward your states attorney general web site for your states statute governing landlord tenant issues: State statute is the controlling authority a landlord’s lease can never override statute But a few observations on your situation 1. The valid lease is binding upon the future owners of the house, so legally even if the landlord would sell the place your lease would be binding upon the new owners for the term of the lease i.e. another six months 2. A landlord can never just void a legal lease agreement, if the landlord feels you had some how violate the lease terms the landlord may seek recourse in landlord tenant court including the remedy to evict 3. Holing the landlord and the landlord’s agent to statute requirement of 24 hour notice does not void the lease nor is a lease violation, but instead exercising your legal rights. Therefore start documenting everything, hold the landlord and the landlord’s agent to 24 notice if the agents show’s without the 24 notice, you have the legal right to refuse entry, I would politely explained that under the law of your state the agent must give 23 notice, failure to do so and you will file a complaint with the broker and refuse admittance Document in a log every time the agent calls to show record the time, date and when they want to show, keep a log, if the landlord ties to go to court your can properly document the situation

That does not sound like a good deal for the landlord. What if you do not find a job? What if you do not find a job that pays what you need? To get the place you are going to need to show some stability. Check stubs or perhaps having a job that they can confirm that you have just gotten will be needed.
Now, you might be able to find someone who is willing to do this but it will probably not be a good experience. It will likely be a slumlord who is willing to go for a deal like this.

Some landlords just check your credit.... and you always pay rent a month ahead (ie: January 1 you pay for the month of January).

About 2100 years ago, some friends of mine, Joseph and Mary, had a similar problem - no check stubs, no job and no credit history. They were lucky to find a stable to stay in until they got settled. Hope you have better luck but you might want to ask their son for help.

Try renting a room first then after you've saved up enough money get an apartment. You don't need to show a paystub to a future LL.

so thats means you need security plus first month... plus a month ahead so second month ... Its gonna be tuff to say the least. You need to find that job or you'll never have a place by feb... good luck
