I definitely think that she should be fired due to the show's target audience (teens and tweens) in conjunction with the nature of her character. Zoey's character is strong-minded, not a follower, and exhibits strong morals. I agree with you on the idolization aspect with regards to her audience because some of her viewers may get the message that "it's OK." She's representing not only Nick but also the teen community. She should be held accountable for her off-screen behaviour (in this case being fired) just as professional athletes are held accountable for their conduct off the court, ice, field, etc. by being suspended, fined, or whatever is appropriate because they too are not only representing an orginazation and company but also the community.

Ohhh yeah!
I was sooo surprised when I heard this! (no joking) What is going on with that family?
I definitely think she will be fired from Nickelodeon. My two girls love her show, and now I have to tell them that Zoey is pregnant!
She is not a role model. Maybe she never wanted to be one, but she is whether she wanted to or not; however, she should have understood that she would have this splattered all over the media markets.
I feel sorry for her. If it were any other 16-year-old, it would not have been known to everyone west of Egypt. Maybe the media should have respected her privacy on this delicate issue - she is not, unless we've forgotten, an adult yet.

Here I go with my fair play stuff again...
So if Jamie Lynn Spears can't be on Nick anymore, then that means Fantasia Barrino (who won "American Idol" a few years back), shouldn't have even been allowed on "American Idol" because she's such a "bad role model", right?
I'm not into the shame game that so many people like to play. Teenage pregnancy has been going in this country since the Puritan days. Shoving it under the carpet obviously isn't stopping it, so maybe we all need to deal with reality for once?
By the way, I hope you all are going to track down the boy who got her pregnant and shame the heck of him too. Fair play, remember?

Yes, I think she should be fired because she is NO longer a role model for young girls...not unless you consider being sexually active at 15/16 a good trait. It's ridiculous to me how a girl of that age feels the need to have sex so young when she has her whole life in front of her. But I guess with all their money, they can just hire a nanny and she won't have to be a responsible parent anyway (she'll turn out just like her mom and sister did)!

I think she needs to be removed from the show. Nick is a channel for kids and there are a lot of young girls who really look up to her...if they allow her to keep her job it's almost like they are advocating for teen pregnancy. It's a bad example for these girls and they need to see that there are consequences for things like this and not think it's ok to do it because Jamie Lynne did it.
I think if they don't fire her there will be a lot of not so happy parents out there and they will lose viewers because of it.

Yes she needs to get fired on Nick.
A lot of teenager watching Nick mostly Teen girls
And now that she is pregnant in this age of so young to be a mother.
I think it’s not a good influence for teen girls to see her in TV that pregnant and doing same like her big sister who is Britney.
I just hope Britney little sister can raise her baby with care and support not same like Britney’s doing in her baby. She’s not a good mother in what I see on news. Always doing stupid stuff well good luck on Britney’s little sister who is pregnant at age of 16 years old. So young oh my god!

No. She is human like anybody else. Why do people care so much about Britney Spears and her sister anyway? If you were to get pregnant at 16 would you want to be judged like that? Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody messes up in life. Everybody deserves a second chance.

You know, she wasn't ever in the news until this. She might not be a crazy like her sister. I think she did the right thing by not hiding it and telling people up front, before she starts showing and such. The sad thing is, if this was just some non-famous 16 yr old girl, it would be less than a huge deal and everyone knows that.

i'm unsure. They on no account fired Vanessa Anne Hudgens for those bare photos. yet it somewhat is diverse. SHE'S PREGNANT. besides, it somewhat is in comparison to she would desire to artwork afterwards anyhow. except she receives an abortion. My maximum suitable wager would be sure.

I think she should be fired. What a terrible example to set for all of her young fans. Nick would be irresponsible to let her continue. It sets a very bad example. But, we live in a spineless PC world, so who knows.
