when they are just waiting for the world to get worse and end like they are taught in the 'Bible"?

It is a valid question.

I went to a Presbyterian seminary, my Dad is a Baptist preacher and I have been overseas in the mission field.

I have always asked the question that if eschatology tells us the world has to get worse for Christ to come back, why would you try to improve it?

It only makes sense.

I am not trying to put Christ down, I have no problem with him.

The people that work for him seem to get real upset when you ask a question they can't answer, especially when it questions a core teaching. (Although, making end-times a core teaching is pretty foolish in my opinion.

I am a Christian. Am certainly not waiting for the end of the world. That would not be very wise. I chose to live each day to the fullest For this reason, I will vote for the candidate that I feel has the best qualifications to run our country.

Wishing you a joyful and blessed holiday season

This is a stupid question designed to insult Christians.

We are not members of some cult trying to bring about the end of the world. We are not just waiting for the end of the world and way is the Bible in quotes?

Do you mean something like the Bible, but not really the Bible?

We believe the world will end, but the Bible also teaches that we should be busy doing the work of God as a servant who does not know when his master will return.

Besides loving Christ we love our children and want the world to be a better and safer place for all children..because the Lord made them all....even you.

Ever since Jesus was crucified his followers have been expecting him to return as he promised in the Gospels. But history shows that his return has been delayed. Many Christians believe their prayers and good works have prolonged his return. Not only that, the Apostle Paul instructed the Christians to continue good works, carrying on usual activities and works until Christ returns (Thessalonians). For that reason, Christians have hope and want to keep the world's state of affairs in good condition.
Both the Old Testament Prophets and the New Testament teachings are evidence of the expectation that Christ will return and God's kingdom will be on this earth made new by His coming. Blessings to you and yours during this great season when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the savior.

Last I heard Christians aren't hoping for the world to end...

The point is to make the world as good as possible before the time does come.

What makes you think we want to live in a bad situation? We have no idea when Christ is coming again it could be eons from now so why wouldn't we want to live in the safest most economically stable environment. You silly, silly boy, your anti-Christian view are so stilted and just plain wrong, you must be a liberal.

You are a very cynical person! Anyway, Americans are not the only Christians on the planet you know.

Disguising a put down to Christians as a question doesn't work that well for you, now does it?

Why would Christians support a war-monger, when they have a candidate who supports peaceful non-intervention
