If you want to book for a specific date in advance you're probably going to pay close to face value for them. Next time you just fancy popping out to see something and want it cheap, go to the TKTS booth in Leicester Square and get a real discount - you never know, you might go and love something you might never have thought to go and see.

www.lastminute.com often has quite good deals involving a pre-theatre meal and ticket for the same price as a normal ticket.

The ticket booth at Canary Wharf closed in September. The half price booth in Leicester Square might have tickets on the day. Check https://www.tkts.co.uk a couple of weeks before to see what might be available.
Broadway Box https://www.broadwaybox.com hasn't got any for that day.
I had to pay full price for my daughter to see Lion King next week and 9th Feb is half term so tickets will be in high demand on that weekend as well.
Lion King is the only West End show with a Sunday performance, so you may have better luck on the 10th.

Try the Get into London theatre ticket promotion, which runs until February they sell you top priced seats at a fraction of the cost or, failing that, lastminute.com usually have some good deals :o)

canary wharf has a cheap ticket booth in the middle of the docklands train lines, however I think they only go a couple of days ahead of performances.
