I always joke when I am extremely peeved. It makes the person I am mad at frusterated, but it is in my nature.

Yes,
Laughing in the face of fear is the ultimate expression of courage. The time that you need a good sense of humor the most is when you are in big trouble. It helps you keep a sense of perspective and realize that what is important and major to you is not so big on the world stage. A sense of humor also gives you a sense of humility.
Finally, when you are laughing you are living more. I have a horrible problem with depression and I don’t miss a moment to laugh. I even collect comics from the Sunday Newspaper so that when I need a good chuckle I have a book full of them.

When I was staring down the barrel of a monster .357, I couldn't help but smile as I emptied my pockets for the thief. I was thinking " damn, I can't believe this happening right now." I could see the bullet tips in the chambers and the were freakin huge. They took my money and my belt and my shoes and socks. I had a smile on my face the whole time. It didn't take long after they left that I realized I was really pissed of that someone came took all my money and left me barefoot, holding up my pants in the street. It sucked.

You bet I do. It relieves my tension and everyone else's. Though my mom still finds it slightly disturbing when I start cracking wise over serious situations.
