Because even though his numbers are consistently good he is never at the very top. However, he should have made it this year not only because he reached 10,000 yards in his career but also because I think he is having a better year than Addai.

Fred Taylor is not, and never will be a great back. No dig. Most backs aren't. But he's not even a consistent back. Even without the injuries, Fred has only ever had good games, sometimes even consecutive good games, but he's never had even on good season.
Injury-prone and inconsistent performance.
An example of a back that is not great that will be attending the Pro-Bowl, however is Marion Barber. Despite that Barber will never be an elite or feature back, he does deserve it, only becasue on every run he puts in a third and even a fourth effort stretching additional yards onto a run that would have ended for nearly every other back in the league. When a back that small makes linebackers flinch, there's something else special there.
So despite the lack of greatness in Taylor, he also does not make those extra efforts.

He has never been a star and spent half of his first 3 yrs on IR. Fred Taylor has never deserved to go to the Pro Bowl, and he doesn't deserve it this year. This talk about Taylor and the Pro Bowl is like giving the great actor that never won the oscar a lifetime achievment award. Did Fred have a good year, yes. Is Fred one of the top 10 RBs in the AFC, no.

I think that he has not made the pro bowl because of his injuries, but I still believe that he should be there this season, but it's just like when I play madden season, when my QB and WR hook up for at least 30 TD they get , but when I run the ball in the ground only my RB make it, there is no balance for the pro bowl it's either all or nothing, and so if a team has balance like the Jaz do it's hard for the rb to make it, because he won't be a star in the eyes of the voters

Taylor has helped convey the Jags decrease back into the playoff image, and averages a pair of backyard extra in line with carry than Addai or Parker. Jamal Lewis additionally has a extra advantageous in line with carry user-friendly than Addai and Parker. an excellent form of those adult adult males are very cose in yardage, and all their communities are going to the playoffs, so i think of the main explosive and maximum had to their communities fulfillment would desire to pass, and that i think that Tomlinson, Lewis and Taylor are the main suitable 3 backs in the AFC this season. Parker has a good case additionally, yet I surely have self assurance that Addai does no longer belong .

He really should have made it with his almost-1,600 yards in 2003, but got passed over in the selection process. He had more yards than Priest Holmes, but that was the year Holmes had 27 TDs. That was also the year Jamal Lewis hit the 2,000-yard mark, so he also made it ahead of Taylor.
It's surprising that he hasn't made it, but he seems to always come in just behind the top few backs in his conference.

He's a very good player, but the Jags aren't an NFL team that has a huge market of people who will
a) recognize him
b) vote for him.
The Pro Bowl is a big popularity contest. The most well known players will almost always make it even if they don't quite deserve it as much as someone else.

I can't tell you why he's NEVER made it, but he didn't make it this year because there were a number of different backs much more deserving than him in the AFC this season.
Yeah, people don't like this answer but I'd LOVE to see any of you give me even 1 GOOD reason why he deserved to make it over any of the 3 guys who did this year.....or, for that matter, Jamal Lewis, Willis McGahee or even Marshawn Lynch who didn't make it either.

He has always put upo great numbers, but has never put up the best numbers any one year, even though this year he deserves it. He has also missed a lot of games due to injury throughout his career, not allowing him to put together any completely great season.

Because he has only had Jones-Drew around for one season to take all the pressure of him and spark an increase in his perennially mediocre stats.
