I bought a Nintendo Wii today, brand new unopened....comes with 3 games and two controllers... paid $420. I want to sell it, but how much should I be asking for it ?
Since they are all sold out, and you can't find any anywhere, except used on ebay...how much is it worth ?

I'm selling it because i'm getting a xbox360 instead...
Also, i'm not worried about "losing" money...because since it's new, I can just return it if necessary...but if I can make a profit I would rather do that of course.

ACTUALLY... the E-Bay selling boom for the Wii has pretty much passed!!! You wouldn't get much more than it's worth, plus if you've ever sold anything on E-Bay recently, you know they charge A LOT for fees!!! Plus, PayPal charges just as much for their fees!!!
If you really want to sell... I would suggest finding someone in your area that is looking for one and make an offer to them!!
Maybe even go to a popular store where they sell Wii's and look for someone who is obviously looking for a Wii and make them an offer!!
You'll most likely make more money that way than E-Bay... believe me, I've just sold a few on E-Bay over the past month and the profits were MASSIVELY cut into by E-Bay's and PayPal's costs!!!
HEY... I'm just telling the truth here!!! Just looked on E-Bay RIGHT NOW and it shows MUCH LOWER prices for the Wii than a week or two ago!!! Some auctions are even taking A LOSS now that the Wii Boom is over!!!!

Well, I hear someone just sold a Wii on eBay for $9,500.
However, sorry to inform you, Nintendo has just developed a raincheck program at Gamestop where you can simply pay the $249 as a deposit and be GUARANTEED to have a Wii no later than the end of January 2008. So sorry for you, you overpayed for your console, and won't be able to sell it for very much more than retail price unless you do it soon.

You could possibly get the same amount ($420) on ebay since a lot of places are sold out. If you wanted to try that, I would just list it on there with a reserve price of atleast 420, that way you atleast get what you paid for it (but you might want to include your listing fees, etc so you are paid back for that) Another route would be listing it in the newspaper with your desired price.

maximum suitable possibility is EBAY yet you additionally can touch all the community shops to envision in the event that they have Wii in inventory and have it reserved- even if the probabilities are high somewhat slender yet howdy, it does not harm to attempt. If I have been you, i'd wait it out for a pair of months on the grounds which you your self is "slightly in the back of on the entire difficulty" which regarded no longer important so you might have it acceptable now besides.

if you are going to sell it, you need to sell it now!!!! you might even have to do some type of shipping to guarantee it by Christmas! (maybe do a one day auction!)
if you wait until after Christmas you are not going to get as much (you still might cover your cost). But the longer your wait the less people are going to try to buy over prices wii's. So get it on ebay or where ever now!

Probably between $450 - $500. Depends mainly on who's buying. If it is some parents they would pay more than a 21 year old.

Put it on e-bay and I bet you could watch it get up to about $800 dollars. Why are you wanting to return your Wii?

You bought it to flip it and make some profit? Why not just let some desperate parent buy it for their child at list price? Merry Christmas!
