I wondered the same thing. I agree that it would set a bad example for young girls. I suppose we'll see. Boy Jamie Lynn & Brit's mommy must be so proud..argh.

Nope. Nick won't drop the show. American is so demoralized. I think she's getting praised for seemingly being so responsible as to want to keep it and take care of it. They'll probably just leave the show like suspense filled until she starts showing then pick it back up after she's settled with the baby.

Not like young kids don't already know where babies come from. Gee, the show is only about hot little girls and boys trying to be a couples. What you think it ends at ok we're boyfriend and girlfriend?? Haha...they know how the world works. That's just life. I blame the parents.

So Nick is justified in keeping a hit show, look at it this way. She being pregnant will even raise the rating more, because people will want to see how creative Nick can get with the scripting.

They should drop the show and not re-run the thing. And Disney should drop the clothes dropping star of High School Musical too. But money talks and nasty girls walk-face it folks these kids aren't going any place and as parents we need to take a stand that this crap won't be allowed in our home. My step kids won't be allowed to watch the show anymore in our home and will be told in no uncertain terms what a train wreck this girl has made of her life now. And when the boyfriend vanishes maybe we can use that to show how trying to trap a boy with a baby doesn't work. I really think the whole concept of teen stars needs to be looked at again-obviously it is not a healthy life for the kids and it sets a terrible example out there for our own children. I guess that little Hannah Montanna girl will be the next nude, preggers, drunk child star-give it a few months. Sad that parents use their kids for their own gain-maybe that is the real problem.

My 10 and 8yr old daughter were asking the same thing this morning, I think Nick will drop her, and that's what has got my daughters mad at her, not that she is only 16, unmarried and pregnant, but Zoey 101 won't have any more new shows made. My gosh, a girl with the kind of role model her big sis has made should have known better!!! Like it matters, but I am soooo disappointed in her for that, at same time proud of her for not getting a secret abortion and going on as if nothing happened. At least she is giving life a chance and trying to be responsible for her actions....gotta give her that at least

they aren't going to drop her because the final season has already been filmed, so they don't really need her anymore. i doubt many people are going to let their kids see the fourth season, though. all people make mistakes, it's just the world we live in know. plus back in the old days, people had kids at 16, 15, 14, 13, 12...yea they only lived until they were 30 or so, but you can't say they were wrong then. some things change, but you can't really judge it just because society now puts a taboo on a situation that was perfectly acceptable or normal in the past. she has support and family and money so i feel she will do just fine. as long as the baby doesn't spend too much time with aunty britney...lol.

they realized a statement earlier saying "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being"

that doesn't sound like they are going to drop her [now]

apparently the show she is on is going to break in january with a cliffhanger of her having to decide if she wants to stay at the school or go to london with her parents

so

if they wanted to write her off they have the perfect set up.

They need to drop her like a hot potato. How are you supposed to teach your kids that if they have a kid at 16, they aren't going to be able to go on living their lives as usual if they see kids on TV getting pregnant and going on like nothing happened? In real life, if you have a kid at 16 you're lucky if you finish high school. College is probably going to be out of the question. And unless your parents decide to raise your kid for you and basically save you from your error, you have to grow up pretty much instantly. No going out drinking every night in your early 20s and dating whoever you please. You're a mommy (or a daddy) now! Every potential date is a potential stepmommy or stepdaddy to your kid.

Probably. The Disney Channel wouldn't, but Nick is a little better.

I'm sure it will. I was looking forward to her turning 18, she's a little cutie, and will be a lot hotter than Brit, or was on the track to be. I'm not judging her, but still, let's hope she doesn't make the same mistakes and ruin her reputation (if she had one) and look like a fool al the time
