Oh, that would be so nice to tell him on Christmas!!! =) When I found out I was pregnant, I called my husband at work and just belted it out. So shameful, I know! (We weren't trying and I was shocked.) I promised him the next time I tell him a little more appropriately! =)

Congratulations!!! =)

Bless you im so happy, congrats!

Im 34 weeks and was trying for 4 months. My boyfriend has always expressed that if I test myself, he would want to be there too (obviously not in the loo), but didnt want to know after me!

I was a few days late. Got a kit and when I got home from work in the evening I rushed to the loo and was sick (had felt ill all day) so told him I was going to do a test and it came up positive straight away. I went into the lounge where he was sitting and showed him and I cried with shock! He was really pleased and gave me a cuddle, then joked saying could he finish watching a programme before I told him lol. I was sick til the early hours of the morning and was far too ill to work for the rest of the week. The rest is history and im due in about 5-6 weeks time with a little girl. Im so scared of Labour though!!! Id tell your bloke tonight, I wouldnt be able to keep that info to myself, but then again you could always get a xmas card saying "To Daddy" and put inside "Cannot wait to see you in 8 months time"! Good luck x

With our very first child, I went to the drugstore and got a home pregnancy test.... I took it and showed him immediately. I couldn't wait. We'd been trying for months..so it was a good thing.

With our second...well...

We were just going to have the one child. I was on the depo shot. I wasn't feeling all that fantastic at one of my appointments to get another shot, and the doctor insisted that I have a pregnancy test done. She came back in to let me know that it was positive. I didn't believe it. She did an ultrasound and wow... I was already close to the end of my first trimester! My son was only 9 months old.

I called him at work and was bawling...I was overjoyed. The desperation only lasted a few minutes. This overwhelming feeling came over me and I couldn't believe I was going to have another baby.

You could wrap a baby rattle or a package of diapers or something for him to open. Let him figure it out on Christmas day. Or... buy an ornament that says "Baby's First Christmas" and let him open it.

My husband was at work. I had come home from work and had taken 3 hpt's and once I saw they were all positive I called him immediately. He can't always hear his phone at work so it took him almost 10-15 minutes for him to call me back and that whole time I was staring at the hpt's in disbelief! (We had been trying for 18 months and I had 2 fertility related surgeries during that time.) While I was waiting for him to call me, I sent him some text messages saying 911....911.....I figured that would get him to call me right away! Once he called back....I started crying as soon as I heard his voice. He thought something was wrong...I could barely speak and I said, I'm pregnant! He was in shock and I don't remember what he said right after that. I think it took him a few minutes to gather his thoughts!

With our first I could simply not wait... I called him and told him over the phone ( I know not very creative or exciting)
With our 2nd we had been trying and I asked if we could go window shop at babies r us... I snuck ahead of him and stuck my test stick on a shelve and when he got to the spot I asked him to grab me something and he saw the stick... he said the first thing he thought is... Now who the heck would leave something like that there, and then it hit him, it was ours.

With this one, our third, we were also trying and I took a picture of my test stick and picture messaged it to his phone at work, and eagerly awaited his call. He said he liked that.

What I would have liked to have done with at least one of our pregnancies is go out to dinner, and stick the positive test stick in a clear baby bottle and when the waitress brings our drinks have her bring him the clear bottle w/ stick in it instead of his drink... but I am never patient enough to do it.
I just always thought that would be neat.

If you've been trying I think this is special info. Tell him on xmas as an extra special gift or prepare an evening together and tell him then.

Congratz and Good luck to all 3 of you

you a very lucky, that you get to tell your partner face to face. i had to tell my partner over the phone as he was away at sea with the navy and i had to keep it a secret from everyone until he new. what ever way that you tell him wither it be now or on Xmas day (if you can hold out that long) i am sure that it will be special.
