I am going to walk around my neighborhood and ask everybody to donate anything they can and that I will buy toys and food, and things for the animals as well as walk them.

You are going to need some identification to show that you are really collecting for the shelter, or people will not give you anything. There are too many scammers out there asking for money and then keeping it for themselves for people to trust that you are the one that will really give it to the shelter.

That's very thoughtful of you. I only donate to St.Jude Children's Hospital for children with Cancer. People in shelters, can go to work and stop living off of "welfare accomodations" whose taxes are paid by us, the people who work !

It sounds like a very nice thing that you plan to do. However, I would not be able to contribute due to being let go at work through no fault of my own.
