I'm supposed to go home tonight for the holidays but my boss needs me to work tomorrow and Friday. How can I get out of it?

Did you request the time off prior to being asked to work? If so I would remind him that you have sheduled days off. Other than that, you are basically obligated to work. Oh you could call in sick, but it might be a very long sick leave, because you might not have a job after the holiday. If you have money to burn and your job isn't important, then just take the days off.

don't pretend you're sick - he'll see right through it. If there is a way you can work from home, offer to do that... (I work from home a lot on my laptop, but if you work in a store or something, that won't work). Just tell him that you're very grateful for the offer of extra work, but have made travel plans already that are impossible to get out of (plane/train tickets... you're carpooling, etc.) Then wish him a happy holiday and mail him and his family a card.

Tell your parents or whoever is waiting for you at "home" that you have to work and go home on Saturday.
