Hey. I think you should stop being so hard on yourself. I think you make the road you drive on and when you want to get off and on, that really is your choice. Those people are just haters! My dad bought me my first Nintendo back in the late '80. I still play video games BUT have cut back because of other things. I think there is a fine line between child and an adult. For one, for example....will you spend your last fifty dollars on buying the newest Naruto game or pay your electricity bill? But look at yourself, you have a job and are good at what you do! LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS, FIRST! SO PLAY ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would your hobbies make you mentally unfit? The only sign that makes me think you're childish is your grammar and spelling (no offense, but it's true). My own parents are the ones who got me into video games. I watched my mother play Dragon Warrior and the first Legend of Zelda when I was just a few months old, and they were in their late 20s at this point. They played until the Gamecube came out. My dad stopped playing because he didn't like the new games, and my mom stopped playing because she has multiple sclerosis and her motor functions are impaired (so she can't operate a controller very well).

Don't let anyone else define you. You define yourself. If you fit every mold that every person made for you, you'd be a shapeless blob of nothing and everything. Wouldn't you rather be yourself and be happy?

And 5'6 is on the short side for a guy, but it's not painfully short.

No! Just because you like the same things kids like doesn't mean you have the mental capacity of the child. My husband and I are 24 and are both college graduates and currently employed. We love video games (Rock Band is my favorite right now) and watching stuff like Spongebob Squarepants and other stuff on Nick. Just ignore your stuffy colleague and keep on doing things that make you happy!

Height has nothing to do with mental maturity. If you get depressed a lot, the games may be your way of "medicating" yourself (if you play them to the exclusion of a lot of other things). But as long as you are getting your work done, and can enjoy at least part of your life, you are not "mentally unfit".

Do in spite of makes you chuffed. there's no longer something unusual or unusual approximately taking section in issues that are relaxing. i'm 20 and that i'm nevertheless paying for video games. I gave up on animé at age 13 and that i detect it slightly immature, yet i will comprehend why human beings proceed to like it. i think slightly embarrassed paying for video games each and every now and then, however the important demographic of the gaming industry is eighteen-30ish so which you're on no account in the minority. merely on the grounds which you do no longer % to drink beer and watch NASCAR does no longer make you any much less of a guy. i'm 5'6" besides and that i think of it somewhat is exceedingly user-friendly. in case you're under 5'6" you're initiating to get into the fast selection. To me something over 5'8" is "tall" and something under 5'4" is "short". each and every thing else is merely in between.

what you are doing is perfectly normal. it is good that you are having time for yourself eventhough you have a job. we always need an outlet for stress and we have different ways of achieving it. your way is by playing video games and anime. i have different way, such as cooking or playing with the dog, or even making some paper airplanes and kites. in a day, we should give some time for the child within us. as long as you can make good decisions in life and you think maturely, there is no problem. live life with a happy heart! merry christmas and God bless...
