I have an HP laptop (Vista) connected to a wireless network (DSL connection) and a Epson CX5000 printer. Print server or adapter?

Thanks everyone! There's not a dedicated computer on the network, so sharing is probably out. Also looking at wiring constraints - it is currently not possible to have the printer in the same room as the gateway router. It's a pretty simple network with 1 laptop (possibly a second one very occasionally) and one printer. Do print servers have benefits over adapters?

I use a print server connected to my wireless router. That way, all of my wireless notebooks and my wired desktops can use the printer as long as they are on the network.

u can use a print server or u can just piggyback off a machine on the network. direct connect the printer on to one machine... make sure the machines on when u wanna use it. search ur network and u should find the printer. once u install it... it will be there everytime, that way u dont need to spend money on a print server or any adapters. only downside is u need the computer that the printer is connect to to be on
