Sometimes this happens.
if the movie is in iTunes then right click the movie and select convert for ipod
if the movie doesnt play in itunes then you need some software to convert it for ipod

I would double check and convert the video with a free program called Videora ipod converter. I can guarantee that it does work try converting with this program and you will see it in itunes ready to be dragged over to your ipod. If the video cannot be played likely to be not the right format or is fault when converting.

first know the video format your ipod nano supports then search for the converter on google or any search engine. but ipod nano supports .mp4 right?
maybe your ipod is with a virus. virus scan with eset nod32. (or any antivirus program)
hope this helps....
