Currently I have Norton but want to change to McAfee. Do I need to uninstall Norton before I intall McAfee? I attempted to intstall my new ware but kept getting "The program you are trying to run is not compatible with Norton". My Norton acct expires soon. What should I do?

Uninstall Norton first. You may need the Norton Removal Tool, as Norton doesn't like to uninstall cleanly. I really recommend you don't switch to McAfee, it's just as bloated and inefficient, with just as poor detection rates, as Norton. Use a decent security suite like Eset or Kaspersky. Try a 30 day trial of Eset Smart Security before you install McAfee, I promise you won't be disappointed.

completely delete norton first then install Mcafee,do it a few
days before the acct. runs out.

you will need to uninstall norton before trying to install new security ware otherwise they will clash and cause problems.

You must un-install one before installing another.
Go to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove programs
