Sure you can!

Go to the shop, sit on the sofa in the sale, and cry because you were stupid to pay the full retail price in the first place :))

Didn't you know you were being robbed? Don't you know that even the sale price is robbery?

Don't forget to vote for me please, if I don't get 200 points this week, I'm going to be fired from my job!

If you have already paid for the sofa the answer is no. When the shop offered it for sale at the higher price this was an "invitation to treat". When you agreed to but it at this price you were making the shop an "offer". When the salesman took your payment he/she formally "accepted" your offer for a "consideration" (being the money you paid) so in legal terms you have a binding contract for sale.
Look at it another way. If there was something wrong with the sofa and you sent it back and asked for a refund you would expect to get your money back in full, wouldn't you? You would not expect them to refund you only the price it is being sold at today.

That is up to the store. If they have a policy of back-matching (not sure if this is the official term) price, then you can ask them to give you the same deal.

In the context of good customer relationship, they will usually give you back the difference. So talk to the store. Legally, there isn't anything you can do if they don't give you what you want.

You may return the sofa if the store policy allows it and shop somewhere else.

Tell the vendor that you would like the difference in price refunded. You could also refuse delivery, but may incure penalty fees to do so - that would be in your contract.

Most businesses will honor changes in price for goods within a short period of time - especially if you haven't taken delivery of the item yet.

If you're not satisfied, as to speak with a store manager - if that doesn't work, you can consult the Better Business Board (BBB) in your area.

You can tell them you would like to return the sofa and then purchase it again at the new sale price..

A concluded sale is already enforceable and can no longer be reduced.

You can ask the store to give you the discount, or you can return the sofa and buy it again.
