I am excited! I think he'll have a smooth adjustment to Wrigley and I can't wait to see him in action in Arizona this spring.

I also think his powerful left bat is going to be a huge impact to this already awesome team. If everyone stays injury free, this is going to be an amazing season.

:)

From everything we read he is a Hideki Matsui type player. If he comes close to the ability of Matsui he will be an asset to the Cubs and should help them in the chase for a playoff spot in 2008.

I've actually heard he's a cross between Matsui and Ichiro. If he can come anywhere CLOSE to that, he will be a tremendous asset.

I am still a bit concerned with SS and CF, but having a solid RF will definitely help.

I think like almost all Japan baseball stars, it will take a while for him to adjust to life in America. I just wonder how he will handle the weather at Wrigley.

I think the Fukodome will be a great place to watch a ballgame. Wrigley is getting old, and it will be nice to be indoors in April and October.

I'm just glad Harry Caray isn't around to try to pronounce THAT name...
