I think he didn't use a Christian symbol in his ad people wanted to see a cross in the window.

Just because I see a two line crossing behind a candidate I don't think they are pushing Christianity.

Remember is was a window and relax have some eggnog and enjoy the season.

I didn't think much either way of it, until the answer above wrote that Huckabee joked about "Paul is dead, Paul is dead". Sure it might be a joke about how dumb the situation is (which is what I think, I have more reasons not to like Huckabee than this). But it could also be a double meaning, as an attack on Ron Paul at the same time. I will have to see this ad, to see if it's as smarmy as some people say it is.

EDIT: Hurrmmph... I don't see a problem with the cross, it does seem intentional however, the lighting and framing of the shot, and movement is just perfect. It's a nice ad however, but it might be offensive to some of the other faiths, and faithless.

I think he set it up to give that appearance. The same with his use of Christian Leader (which he has since yanked). You look at the camera angles it was clear they wanted Huckabee and the cross to be the focus of the shot. His denial is further reason I dislike huckabee

he would desire to be exceedingly smart to maintain his conceal and play the coolest preacher for this way of excellent form of years. fact is, that merely would make him the main suitable decision. i think valuable there is extra to him than what you notice on television. he seems a real cool hand. if i had no longer sworn to on no account returned vote for yet another member of the GOP or any incumbant, i'd evaluate him. yet this lonesome cowboy needs some severe substitute. i merely have a queazy feeling the fat cats have us in a heap of situation.

I liked his comment about it...Huckabee said the bookshelf is just a bookshelf and shrugged off the controversy: "I will confess this: If you play the spot backwards it says, 'Paul is dead. Paul is dead.'"

He was joking about the Beatles' recording of "The White Album" and the urban legend that if a portion of the album is played backwards, the words "Paul is dead" is heard, a reference to the very much alive Paul McCartney.

I think its wonderful to celebrate faith and Christmas, but when you are so in your face about it. You alienate all those Hannakuh and Hahge people spellings probably off on those.

All politicians, companies and people should be allowed to produce and distribute any ad they want and let the people decide if they support them or not.
