This can be an international airport. Massive land avaliable, and it is near the M25, and A13. Heathrow can close because it is so old, and this airport can take over. THis site is near Lakeside Shopping Centre. The London Underground can be extended here for the airport.

first of all heathrow is upgrading and within a year will be probably the most modern airport in Europe - it's already the busiest also the airport has been there for decades and all the infrastructure is in place. - ie - the tube runs underneath the road which runs under the runway - secondly - the people who live around sth ockenden should be the first ones to ask. they might not want one - anyone who lives near heathrow knows it's going to be noisy and the roads are going to be busy - however it might be worth building another airport in Essex to help take the load off of heathrow if the locals are up for it - if you live there it might be worth starting a petition for one.

i live in South Ockendon, and we dont want an airport here, its bad enough, we're on the flight path for some flights into and out of London City. Stansted is a mere 35 Miles away. Southend has an airport thats is not really used.
as for Massive land avaliable- like to know where. South of South Ockendon, is Grays and Chafford Hundred and Lakeside, East the M25 and london. west is basildon, southend, and North is mainly Green belt, this would be too near to Stansted

No it isn't. London and the South East already have quite enough airports; millions of people are already affected by noise and pollution, and pollutants from jet aircraft are one of the largest causes of global warming. I live in a North West London suburb and aeroplanes from Heathrow, Stansted and Luton already fly over making it impossible to sleep on the average night except between about Midnight and 4-30am.
