I have been watching this show on VH1-Classic. I.m not sure if it is new or old, but it is interesting. The 2nd episode is already covering the Art-Rock of 70s; so, I can only imagine how much they will dedicate to the 90s-current.

QUESTION: For those of you watching (or are familiar with this 7-part series) -- Do you think they are being THOROUGH enough to do justice to Rock's musical history?

NOTE: While there is a lot of extra footage, it still seems that they can do so much more with this subject, like 14-20 hours, or whatever....

I appreciate ANY feedback - Fab

I am glad to see that some of you have seen it; and I do think it is Better than some of their other specials.

It's frustrating with all of the footage and knowledge that they have (or should have) that they don't go farther and be as ultimate as possible...

like the 1st person said, there is no way they wil ever be able to cover ALL of rocks history however they are doing a good job of hitting all the major and key points. They could and should do like a 24hour marathon of it and just hit everything that they can in those 24 hours. But yes they are doing a good job of covering the major parts of Rock

It saddens me and makes me cry about this senseless act during a wonderful moment of a cat giving birth. How cruel can people be. Where were the parents? Kids too bad these days learn violence at such a young age. Our society is so many ways has gone down the drain and animal abuse is so prevalent in this day and age. When will ever stop. We need to educate children at a young age that animals have rights too and should be treated with love and respect.

I agree that no one could cover all the history of rock, and how do you draw the line where to start and when to stop and how much to include. I think this program covers enough to peak more of an interest to start doing my own research into it. Maybe that's the point?

No one could be thorough enough to cover all of the history on rock....There should be a national holiday for the history of rock and roll.

it's been pretty cool so far, and VH1 usuially is legit when it covers music....tonights(wednesday) episode is covering punk rock and thursday nights is covering heavy metal--i'm looking forward to both of those....those two genres are more my cup of tea so after i watch those i'll tell you better if they are doing a good job of covering all the basics

I have seen it though I cannot remember all of it. What I do remember though is, like any programme like these, is that they always play the same bands. They always seem to miss out the 'less than radio friendly' bands or the less trendy ones. It happens with all these kinds of so-called rockumentaries.
